How do I change the ink in my HP 8012 printer?
It’s easy to change the ink in your HP 8012 printer. The front panel of the printer is hinged at the bottom – open it by pulling forward at the top. This reveals a handhold that can be used to lift the cartridge access door. The cartridge carriage will move into view. Wait for it to stop moving and remove a cartridge that needs to be replaced – push the clip away from you to release and lift the cartridge out. Ensure that the new cartridge has had all packaging and protective film removed, and insert into the space, clicking it into place. Repeat as necessary for other cartridges. When you are done, close the access door and return the front panel to its vertical position. The printer will initialize the cartridges, which may take a minute or two, and then it will be ready to print.
