What ink does the Epson XP 2200 use?
The Epson XP 2200 printer uses 604 standard capacity and 604XL high-capacity ink cartridges. These are often referred to as “Pineapple” because of the picture on the original Epson packaging, and the printer needs four (black, cyan, magenta, and yellow) to run. All the cartridges and multipacks shown on this page are suitable for the Epson XP 2200 printer.
How do I refill my Epson 2200 ink cartridge?
It’s possible but we don’t recommend it. You can refill Epson ink cartridges but, in most cases, you would also need to reset or replace the chip on the cartridge so that the printer doesn’t identify it as empty. Refilling ink cartridges used to be a viable option in the days before reliable compatible cartridges, and chips that could tell the printer whether the cartridge had been used before. Today, it is just as economical, considerably easier and a lot less messy to buy compatible cartridges instead.
Can you use any brand ink in Epson printer?
Yes, you can use any brand ink in Epson printers, if the cartridge is of the appropriate type. At Printerinks we sell a range of compatible inks and toners which are guaranteed to work with your printer. All the cartridges shown on this page are suitable for the Epson XP 2200 printer, look out for the items described as “compatible” – these cost less and will produce the same results.
