- Open the front cover.

- Push down the green lock to get the toner out of the drum unit.

- Put the new cartridge into the drum unit. You should hear it click into place.
- Clean the drum unit wire, by sliding the green tab left to right several times.
- Insert the drum unit with the new cartridge back into the Brother printer. Close the cover of the printer.
