Start by turning the printer on, if it is not already on. Then lower the output tray and reach inside the printer to lower the ink cartridge door. Now open the ink cartridge door. The ink cartridges should move into position. Press down on the empty ink cartridge to remove it. Now remove the packaging from the new ink cartridge and the plastic tape. Then insert the new cartridge into the empty slot inside the printer until it snaps into place. Finally close the access door, and you’re ready to start printing again.
How do I clean my HP LaserJet 1100?
Before cleaning your LaserJet 1100 printer make sure it is switched off from the main plug, and has cooled down. You can start by opening the printer’s front door and removing the toner cartridge. Place this cartridge in a safe place, away from light and do not touch the sponge on the cartridge. Now with a dry, lint-free cloth wipe away any excess toner from the paper area and toner cartridge slot. Once cleaned, you can then replace the toner cartridge inside its slot. Close the front door, and plug the printer back in.
