Lexmark Interpret S405 Ink Cartridges

The Lexmark Interpret S405 is a good printer from Lexmark's range of inkjet all-in-ones. The speeds and print quality offered by the printer is not bad when compared to Canon and HP standards. Epson has provided the printer with a new ink system and the same touch screen controls like many of its previous printers. Following are the important features of the printer:

Automatic Document Feeder: At the back, the printer features a horizontal Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) which picks and rolls up the paper and an output tray. Hence, the paper is loaded from the rear and pulls out from the front.

Control panel: At the top, there is a slightly incongruous acrylic-banded control panel with different buttons such as pad for fax use and easy navigation. It has a LCD display allowing the users to control the functions conveniently. Above the display, there are four buttons for copying, scanning, faxing and photo printing modes.

Memory card and USB sockets: The printer features a memory card socket that can take memory Stick and xD formats. The printer also features a USB socket with PictBridge camera. There is also USB port and an Ethernet port. Hence, you can connect the printer to a PC via built-in Wi-Fi.

The ink cartridges: The printer offers a brand new ink system named as Vizix. This Lexmark printer offers switch to individual ink cartridges and separate, semi-permanent print heads. Like many Canon and HP printer designs, the print head of the machines is not integrated into the cartridges.

Software: The printer comes with support software allowing the printer users an easy installation to use the machine. This software includes Abbyy FineReader for Optical Character Recognition.
